Introducing Sketch Kuts by Boss Kut

We have 5 new Sketch Kuts and more in the works.  You can find them at http://www.bosskutdiecuts.com/  Just look under the category Sketch Kut.
Our Sketch Kuts work like digi stamps.  We have designed them especially to be used with copic pens or colored pencils.  Each file comes with .jpgs, .wpc and a colored .jpg for coloring reference.  Each folder has a .jpeg with and without the sentiment if there is one. Also one image that is just the main image. So as you can see they are very versatile.
Gazelle Owners we have included a .wpc file for you as you can put in a pen and pen the design and then just put your blade in and cut the border or frame.  If you are using copic pens be sure to use a pigment pen that does not smudge such as Zig Millenium. I use either a .01 or .03 to draw my image.

Meet Lucy she is already for Easter. I drew her on my Gazelle and then cut out the border. I used copic pens and accented with Gelly Roll Star dust pens. The border on the card was cut using the scissor tool on the Gazelle. Little Lucy is also available as a digital die cut.

Pansies were painted with copics and highlighted with a white gelly roll pen. I colored Mother with a jelly roll Starburst purple pen.

Colored with copic pens  Mother was cut on the Gazelle out of Glitter Paper

Colored with Copic Markers.  Border was colored with the Rose starburst Jelly Roll.

Motif was colored with copic markers.  The cross-hatching in the design I did free hand with a spica pen from Copic
We are adding the copic and spica pens to our Boss Kut website. www.bosskut.com

Spring Beauty by Debbie Grommet

Debbie used our motif design #0374, lattice Journal tag #0425, lattice pop kut border #426. She used her Gazelle and textured card stock to cut the designs. Love the colors Debbie. They are so rich and classy.
Super Cute Bunny Cupcake Topper and Cupcake Wrapper by Debbie
Debbie used our new Bunny design by Judy Stark cut two pieces. One for the front . Mirrored the other for the back. She glued a toothpick inbetween to stick in the cupcake.
His little pop kut bow is adds so much to him.  Remember our pop kuts are all just one piece. No paper piecing required. So fast, so easy, so cute.  Bunny #008.
All of these designs can be found at www.bosskutdiecuts.com.  Look under new releases.

Egg Shaped Easter Card

I thought it would be fun to create an egg shaped Easter card.  I used the base egg shape from the Lattice Egg digital download and expanded it to approximately 4″ tall then cut it out.  Using my scissors I simply hand cut the egg right across the center so it appeared to be “cracked”.  Using a brad I pieced the egg back together so that it would close and the cracked edge would overlap slightly.  I added some ribbon along the edge to decorate the outside.  And here’s what it looks like opened…
For the inside, I cut and inked the Chick Peeker and tucked him in so that he appeared to be peeking out of the egg.  I stamped the sentiment then hand cut it and glued it to a toothpick.  The weight of the ribbon on the outside helps to keep the egg closed but if you’re concerned about the top falling or not staying put you can stick a little tiny glue dot or repositionable adhesive to keep it closed just right.  This was a super easy little hinged card to create and will look so cute inside my kids baskets!!  Think I’ll even make some for the teachers.  :)
Thanks,
Katie
