The Lake Layout by Katie P.

Hey everyone! My Gazelle is one of my favorite tools because it is truly an all-in-one machine. Not only can you create die cuts with it, it also has a print and cut feature so you can print something from your home printer and cut it out perfectly with your Gazelle. You can also remove the blade and drop in just about any style of pen or marker and write, draw and even color without any pen holders or accessories. Here's a layout I created using my Gazelle...

I grabbed my October Afternoon Campfire 8x8 paper pad and cut the map and plaid strips and positioned my photos, temporarily. Then I cut one wave border, snipped it in half, inked the edges and adhered them in place, securing the top one with American Crafts Dimensional Adhesive Dots. Next, I went to work on my title. The font I used was Mistral and came in my Funtime III Software. For more detail, I added a shadow to my title. I decided the layout needed more on the left side so I added the strip of red polka dot paper then created a scallop border in Funtime. To do this I simply welded together some circles, stretched them to the size I wanted and cut it out. Then, I just cut the strip in half and I had scallops. Next I added the bling Swirls then created my journaling strips. To do this, I chose a single stroke font, Ohelvetica Medium Rhinestone, from Funtime and created a new type box for each line. I removed my cutting blade and put in my Chocolate Copic Spica Glitter Pen then "cut" as I normally would. When it was done I simply cut each line into strips. I inked all my edges and die cuts with my Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.  My Gazelle really makes creating layouts easy!
